Rocket League

What are the 20 words you aren't allowed to say?
Invited my friend to play some Rocket League, apparently he's been banned for 24 hours because he was using "abusive chat".

Does anyone know what the blacklisted 20+ words are so I don't get automatically banned by the system? Because apparently Psyonix is policing what we're allowed to say in an online game now.

side question, is there a list for most languages supported by the game? exemple: i often get the classic i did your mom, or your mom is a ♥♥♥♥♥ but in my native language when i meet player from my country, does the list support multi language?
No idea. But they have stated they'll be adding words. To the list.

As far as I know, they're too scared to offend anybody with the list so it's more like common sense.
"how do i insult people without getting banned"

go ♥♥♥♥ yourself <3

1. Plenty of businesses take this into their hands. Do you think you can just walk around a grocery store, gas station, bank, or other place like that and swear at people without repercussions? No. You'd get talked to and them kicked out of there of you refused to comply.

2. Profanity filters will be bypassed. Look here at steam, we have a heart filter, that people go around all the time. (and get ban for it depending on nthe situation)
It's not that they want to filter the words. They *do not want* those words said in the game in the first place.

3. Steam names can be reported on the steam profile. It's actually against the rules To use offensive names and or avatars and profiles can be ban and have their name/image forcibly changed.

1. Look, this point is proving my point. I never implied that I will without reason start swearing in a game, unless there's a cause for it in which case that shouldn't be censored.

2. Of course it'll be bypassed, but an AI can learn, I know several system that already filter out certain made-up words that resemble others such as "Sh!t" this amount of money they put it can easily be put to something like that, can also contain community input.

3. Well that still doesn't stop people from using them in games and nobody will go through the trouble of reporting somoene on steam who they meet for 5 minutes in a game. If Psyonix really doesn't want any of this langauge in their game, maybe they should have their customers create an account for Rocket League. This half-way approach to clear out profanity in their game is a failure. If you want to do it right, then do it right, but not like this.
1. But the point is there's Never a legitimate reason to swear In game. Even if others swear at you or play bad. Just report them for language or unsportsmanlike conduct and move on.

2. Again, the point is that they shouldn't be swearing in the first place. So there should be no need for a filter because it's against the rules. People will learn they need to talk nicely or they won't be playing for long.

3. It doesn't stop them easily. You just gotta have faith they'll be reported. You'd be surprised how many people do report others.

But I will say, I agree a in game name creation run through a psyonix system would be a great idea.
Psyonix' sjw, family friendly type recent changes in the game makes me cringe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzA4dCT4X0I

LOL. Your funny. You do realize there has. Been no "change" to the rules? It's been against the rules since the game launched. They just had so many reports that it took forever to go through them as a normal person. Now they have the automatic system so it's much faster.

1. Yes from one perspective this sounds reasonable, but sometimes you would like to tell someoen to notice how they're playing and quite frankly they don't understand the English langauge without the vulgar words and therefore you just communicate with them in a way they will understand. There's a slight different between, "Don't push that red button" and "Don't push the f*cking red button!"

2. People haven't learned how to live together with black people in America for years now. They won't learn how to speak with manners if they don't already know how to. Some people can't even write properly. This is far fetched.

3. I'm not soeone who has faith, I'm more of a realist and look for logic behind issues and the root of the problems.

* Glad you like the idea haha

Yes, I know that, but still humans were able to assess the conversation differently than this automated system does. The bot will flag everything cause it doesn't understand context and only looks for words. Whereas a human could usually notice what unleashed this "fury" in a match. :D

All these liberal minority groups make me cringe. SJW, BLM, Feminists, Antifa, etc.. they all welcome communism, the system many Europeans fled from in the mid 1900s and they completely obliterate the right to express yourself freely.

Actually if you look at the situation right now even deeper - there is no such thing as freedom. Auto-ban system portrayed in philosophy: “Do not treat others as you would not like to be treated' frees one from hypocrisy. 'Treat others as you would like to be treated' enslaves one with insincerity.”

1. I understand, but that anybody takes this into their hand I have a problem with.
So if someone is in your house, you're completely fine with them throwing insults/racial slurs at you or your family and since you don't like people acting against your version of free speech, you're not going to kick them out, right?

Цитата допису Devilish Dave:
Totally makes sense, fits here, so it's not off-topic. Not fully.
Nope, completely off-topic, Psyonix's banning system has nothing to do with Steam policies.

Man, George Orwell's book "1984" which is a cautionary tale for the intelligent has become like an instruction manual for all liberal goverments.

And back to your topic, I still agree with that phrase, but you were free to not accept it and be an a*shole then probably be treated as one eventually too.

1. I don't invite people into my home, your little example here is ridiculous.

And that with steam, you're just someone who doesn't see outside the box. We were talking about how censorship works and not really tying the two together with psyonix and steam. You're a nitpicker too, your kind is sickening.
