DS4 Controller Issues

Hi,
I'm recently into progress from switching keyboard to controller and got a problem with the button settings. In Short: I (maybe) want to keep camera toggle on triangle, but its magically bound to L3 also (I want to avoid switching by accident). Furthermore only the touchpad is recognized as R3 button. I want to have the R3 features on the actual R3 button O.o

I checked in Big P mode but there are no further settings/configs i can do.
There's the option left to emulate the 360, but would be nice to know if theres more a straight solution.

Have you tried turning your settings back to default and re-bind them?

Aye, starting from default. When I clear camera toggle i can set triangle or L3, it is both shown as "Y" and work both the same simultaniously when testing. When I clear an binding and hit R3 nothing happens, only works with the touchpad which is then displayed as R3

So, in the key bindings when you clear the button for 'Focus on Ball' you can bind triangle or L3 to it but either one of the two will show as 'Y'. That is odd as the DS4 should show Playstation buttons rather than Xbox buttons. And you cannot bind anything to 'R3', is that right? Instead it binds the touchpad, although it shows 'R3'. And you're not running any third party software? If your settings are back at default, which button is selected for 'Rear View'?

Thats right the buttons are not shown as Playstation buttons (shown as "A";"B";"Y";"LS";"RS"), I never owned a 360 controller neither i am running a 3rd party software. Rear View is shown as (hitting) "RS"

Do you have 3rd party software from other controllers installed, maybe?
Edit: Maybe from the past that are still installed.

Oha jeah Steamcontroller times ago. I try uninstall it and see what happens

shouldn't it be able to detect both seperatly? I think this is what the DS4 Controller support in Big P mode is for ?

I'm sorry, that I don't know. The drivers Rocket League supports, I think, don't necessarily need to work on Steam. Rocket League for example can read the DS4 without any special drivers while other games can't.

I got it! Not in Big P mode, but if you rightclick on game and then "Edit Steam Controller Configuration" there is shown the DS4 and you can change the setup to "official psyonix bindings" or whatever you like. Phoa happy to solve this the easy way.
