Is it possible to play 2 players on two screens?

Hi,

Me and my brother enjoy rocket league but due to the complications (he owns xbox, me PC) of not properly supporting parties between the two cross platforms i wondered on a more bizzare idea...

Would i be able to play (player 1) on a monitor screen whilst him (player 2 local PC) play with a screen to himself on a tv screen. I know this is essentially requesting player 1and 2's screen to be seperate so i get the full monitor screen and he plays as my guest under his own screen.

I know this system sounds complex and is very very likely to be impossible but i was wondering if it is doable or if possible with some 3rd party apps?

Like said, i know it's not likely achieable but play split screen even on a big tv feels kind of meh for the both of us and i like playing from my monitor as is anyway...

Any thoughts?

Put the pc and xbox on the ground.

Get a steamroller.

Squash them together.

If your screens are on the same graphic card (or maybe port-connected multiple cards): yes.
Simple increase the width of the game resolution (or the height if you want a vertical separation) in the config file of the game. Then select (in game or in the config file) the correct split screen (horizontal or vertical).

Note: I already did it with differents resolutions screens. It doesn't work perfectly (as you have to adapt the resolution and 1 screen may be cut or having black borders) but it's playable and enjoyable.

You can connect a pc to tv via hdmi and you could do splitscreen if you dont mind missing half of the screen

Yes, you can. I connected 2 PS4 controllers using DS4 on my laptop, and it was running split screen just fine.
