Can nobody defend on this game?
Every match i'm forced to primarily play in goal as every time I leave the other team scores, it's not even difficult saves, they just miss the ball, yet on the offensive they can dribble, do decent aerial hits etc... So how can they be decent in offense but in defense be about silver level? (At plat)

Actually I am good at both defending and attacking I would say just because of the reason I mainly do 1s where it is always up to me to save it (I am plat level)

Obvioulsy there are outliers, but I've started to give up with this game, as every match i'm paired with people who don't defend, and the last 3 i've played, people would literally chase the ball , even if I was on it, hitting both me and the ball. When I asked them to stop, one even replied "But i'm better, if you hit it you'll ♥♥♥♥ up", and after having seen them miss 50% of their hits, and send 25% back to our goal, they were clearly mistaken.

If you actually read this and the other post I placed on anothers, you'd realise it isn't as it's written slightly differently. But even if I did would it matter? It's my own point on both, and my post... And I realised you were the troll so why am I even writing this?

Welcome in online gaming when a lot of people think they are better than the others and don't use their brain...
Fortunatly, sometimes I play with good players doing rotation, respecting your positon, and all this stuff. It gives me some hopes back.

Disclaimer: I don't think I'm an über-player, a pgm or anything else. I'm just saying I use my brain and try to play in team (rotation ? def ? center ?).

It does seem to be a trend and i think it has to do with the fact people mainly look at improving offense mechanics because A) its more fun and B) its easier. Training defense has a lot more to do with prevention then actual hitting the ball away from the net. It takes hours, experience and overall just more difficult to learn than offense abilities such as dribbles & redirects. It does get better at higher ranks though.

Well at G3 I saw some good defense (in my team or the other) but now at plat2/3... It's getting worse: perma-chasers...
Maybe because it's the end of the season soon and people want to rank up (playing like ♥♥♥♥) ?

All i know is in diamond, (more-so in 2s than 3s) if they are allowed to take a decent shot, ur not saving it...

And this is why you need someone on the back to defend/block this shot... But when you attack and you see both of your mates right behind... One mistake, one counter from opponents == goal for them.

Eh. Play prevention can happen as early as on the rotate, lower ranks just end up being shot save shot save (or lack of) etc

Yeah, at lower ranks, and last season it wasn't that bad, at plat the majority just run around like headless chickens. I've managed to carry my way to plat 3 div 4 in one of the modes, but doubles and one of the tripples I just can't, any goal I score is quickly ruined by my teammate taking the centre, but leaving it lying in the middle for their easy dribble and flip, or them being in goal and having like a 1 second reaction time.

The only thing i can suggest, is find a dedicated team mate, it makes more difference than you can imagine.

I normally solo queue and i, more often than not, get a team mate that performs like they are new to the game........and then without warning......must be a complete god, its just too unreliable, but playing with a dedicated team mate gives a much better experience, especially when they are around your skill level.

Try playing solo standard. If you're good at defence, I found that I managed to get to diamond 1 from placement games alone just by playing defence constantly unless I got a great dribble opportunity, and I'm definitely not a diamond 1 normally. I've only just been able to scrape plat 2 with a dedicated teammate in doubles, and I'm only gold 2 in solo. In solo standard nobody tries to play dedicated positions until early-mid plat, so their defence is normally very weak, but likewise your team's defence is likely to be very weak as well unless someone is also playing dedicated defence. I do know just how bad solo standard can be at times, but if you want to try and get a high rank by the end of the season (not guaranteed of course) just try doing all of your placement games in solo standard.
