PS4 Controller Freezing in position randomly

When I'm in game, and even in the menu screen, for some reason my controller freezes in whatever position i had it in for a few seconds and fixes itself, but over the course of a game it can happen 5 - 20 times and it gets a bit excessive. Has anybody else had this issue and if you have, any way to solve this?

Sorry for digging this, I know this is an old topic but I'm getting the same issue in 2021 and no solution found so far. It started happening randomly, I used to have the issue on Epic so I came back to Steam and I'm having the same thing. Input frozen for a second, any button presses seem "buffered" and all trigger at the end of the freeze.

No DS4Windows running, DS4 plugged via cable. I have not noticed the issue on other games. Wireless seems to mitigate the problem (until it cuts off for its own failures).
