Hi,

This may be a stupid question but I still couldn't figure out when I can and I cannot dodge in the air.

Sometimes, I just aerial high enough and when I want to hit the ball using dodge, I just cannot although I didn't double jump at first place. Is it related to boosting in small increments?

Same applies even if I boost all the way to the cieling with simple jump aerial and try to dodge.

Same thing is when I do air dribbles, I come off the wall, I adjust my car, and poof! I cannot dodge. If I dribble shorter or climb up to a lower height I can dodge..

What's the pattern here?

That makes sense now, I was always wondering why I couldn't dodge

In addition to the timing thing, if you watch any "freestyler" video, you'll also see people jump to the ceiling or to a wall, land very briefly, and boost to the ball ... using their final jump well after the 1.5 second point. The reason this works is because if you land all four wheels on a surface, you reset your jump. "Falling" off the ceiling doesn't use that jump, so you've essentially got that jump ready in your back pocket. This maneuver is rarely good for anything for freestyle videos, but it's occasionally good to remember if you find yourself falling without having used your jump. :P

After a jump , not aerial.
If you start aerial without jumping tehn you can do the dodge anytime.
