How do I add people that want to trade?

I haven't traded before, some ppl ask if I wanna trade, they say add me but idk how.

Can you assist?

send a friend request, or accept their friend request. add them to party and invite them to trade. Be careful with trading as you can get scammed.

To trade with someone in rocket league you need to be in the same party group.
To be in the same party group you got to invite the person.
To invite the person you need to be friends on steam.
To add someone on steam you need go on their profile and send a friend invite (click "Add friend") then wait for the person to accept the friend request.

If you're on the trading subforum when someone is saying add me then it's easy, just go on their profile and add him.

If you're in a game when someone is saying add me in the chat then pop up the steam overlay and click view players on the left besides view friends. it should open a little window, click on the recent games tab and there you can see all the steam players you played with recently. Click on profile and add him.

Once you're both in the same party group, click on the other person's name at the bottom and click invite to trade. It will pop up a message on their side and if the person accepts it will open the trade window with at the top all the items you are giving and at the bottom all the items you will receive.

You have to have them as a friend on steam first.
Invite them to your party in rocket league
Click their username once they join
Click "invite to trade"
Have them accept the invite
Trade
Profit
