Psyonix! Rename Voltaic to Lightning back! Why did u do that stupid change?!

A quick trip over there and of the first 50 topics (technically 48, because of the pins) nothing seemed out of the ordinary, and a lot of the topics had the new, correct wheel names in them.

From the patch notes:

BUG FIXES
GENERAL
“Lightning” Wheel is now properly named “Voltaic”

Sounds like it was supposed to have that name all along.

Because some people were getting confused with the Lightning Trail in trades etc.

It also helps against scammers who tell noobs that their lightning trail is worth a lot, acting as if it was a pair of lightning wheels

Why aren't they just renamed rocket trail then? There are 1000s of lightning wheels trading everyday, but how many trails?

Dunno. I don't trade, I give away my duplicates. I'd assume a lot of people would look to off load lightning trails as you can't do anything else with them, as they are season one Items.

Imagine red lightning trails... the misleading would be crazy. EDIT: I don't mind the name change at all, but more colored lightning trails would be cool (Imagine purple and red lightning).

IMO they should have renamed the trail instead, Voltaic trail sounds cooler then Voltaic tires lol

Tere was also sorting problem (lazy psy coding) - all Lightning (wheels/trails) were mixed in inventory view. Similar "mixed items" bugs - you can't choose which key to use to open crates; if you trade a duplicate of item equipped on a car, it disappears from car.
About the Lightning it would be better to rename the trail (electric / thunderstorm etc.), but it's just a name so no big deal.
