How to recover after being scammed?

Hi Everyone,

I'm not the most experienced player here, hence it took me months to have enough items to make an offer for "heatwave". Unfortunately, I got scammed and lost all my items except for a ZSR. I was "dumb" so called by the community when I complained. There was 1 positive aspect of it, the scammer gave me this cool "ghost" topper.

4 days later, today.. I have heatwave, painted lightnings, dom GT and a sick looking car with my cool ghost topper as a memory of the incident. I am writing this to inform everyone who has been scammed that it's not the end of the world. This is a game, but if you're smart enough, you can bounce back stronger than before.

I will reveal all my tricks to you, because I don't think I will be trading anymore. After scammed, invest all your inventory into keys. Get all the junk out of the inventory and then focus on buying Dom Gt for 1 key, ZSR for 1.5 k, cert ZSR for 2k, CC4 for 5:1 6:1 and sell these for 2k, 2k, 3k, 4:1/3:1. Repeat this until you have enough keys.

Do not accept adds, items etc. Only focus on these 3 type of items. It won't be too long before you bounce back from it.

Quick reminder for younger players. You do not have to proceed with a trade if you're not confident. Only go for the ones you know you profit from. This is key.

The feeling after being scammed is the worst, Im a pretty smart person so Im not usually scammed by tricks or suck, but my trusting personality :/ This is my biggest issue and if i turn down a trade i always feel bad.

Just got scammed my Cobalt Zombas, Tora, Labyrinth, 2 tachyons, lime endo, 5 painted exotics, 1 saffron voltaic... Honestly so sad right now

Yes it is to many many many people who don't know how to trade. FYI, starting with 4 keys in my post, I sold 55 keys for steam $$, and still got 8 keys and loads of items. I haven't been actively trading since the post though,

Psyonix has set up an enviroment where the victim is always at fault and is the only one who loses out. Its a lazy tack on to the item cashgrab business. Your best bet is to trade only with friends or people you trust. This community is a cancerous tumor and will take advantage of you at every turn.
