Solo standard ranking is ridiculously broken.

Was Challenger in SS most of last season and this season I can't even get out of Bronze 1 Div 1 because it constantly puts me on teams with rookies and unranked players. I've even gone on 6 game win streaks on two separate occasions and didn't even div up because the opposing teams had the same issue. So basically if you place in at Bronze 1, you're doomed to ever get out of it in solo standard. And I know for a fact I'm not that bad because I'm Gold 1 in standard and silver/gold in doubles.

But even when your point is funny, it doesn't match the problem. When you are stuck in diamonds, you might have reached your level.

But when you are stuck in Bronze at Solo Standard, even when you were last Season a Challenger 3 Div 5 on the edge to Challenger Elite and are actually in Standard Silver 3 (no matches with friends, even here queing solo with randoms), and even when you have more than 1500 (!) MVP and end losing at Bronze being by far (!) best player of the losing team who carried them heavily, then there is a problem with Solo Standard. It is just no fun, when you are used to decent avarage matches at Challenger 3 level, and are now stuck in a sort of limbo with totally uncapable mates who miss, don't clear or assist to opponent, do own goals, and never pass or use an assist to score. It just feels like being in a hellish nightmare you can't escape no matter how much you struggle. You just can't compensate their own goals and such crap, even when you end with scoring 6 goals all done by yourself. The opponents answer with 6 goals done 2-2-2 by all mates, and then in Overtime you lose 6:7 because your mates does an own goal. Then you have lost, the MMR says you are exactely as unskilled as the mate who has 30 points plus an own goal. You get in the mate lottery together with this guy, because MMR says you are his level. That's it! Why will some not understand, this is not the complain that player do who are stuck at diamond? They have reached their skill level, the guy we are talking about at Bronze Limbo has NOT reached his skill level, but is tragically trapped!

Bruh... It's not MM. You are missing something fundamental. With as much time as you have put in, rising to gold shouldn't be an issue. I recently had a bad run and deranked to silver 3 in 2's. I had a blast schooling some silver for the short while I was there.

I find you just have to change from a "team based" style to a "ball hogging, one man army" style. I am still currently doing placement matches, as I usually play doubles. But I have been matched up with lots of bronze in placement so far. I find it pretty fun actually as you can usually do simple pop up and chase without the defending team having a clue what to do about it.

Long story short. Put on your back brace and carry hard until you finally rank up.

Well I have finally finshed placement matches. 9 of 10 wins, 6 of which I was MVP and got placed silver 3. Not sure if that is common? but just throughing the info out there.

I don't really mind as I am still moving up the odd game I actually play of standard. But I do not mind being placed low, as my standard positioning can use some work considering I'm used to doubles.

For example, after 1 placement game (win) in 3v3 standard i'm at 713 MMR, estimated at gold 2.

I was 632 after all placement matches in standard. Sub-200 after all placement matches in solo. I was only two ranks different in each last season and won 7 of 10. Put at Bronze 1 Division 1 and haven't moved once in 49 matches even after numerous 5 and 6 game win streaks.
