Inflated Price Of White Zombas
Is it just me or does anybody else think that the white zomba price is inflated and a potential culperit of market manipulation? I'm considering trading for a pair as I have a butt load of keys from trading and nothing to spend them on but I can't help but feel that the price is going to crash. I mean, there are tons out there and although they look good, they don't look good enough and aren't rare enough to sustain their price (which is steadily increasing). Just like the crimson voltaic's I get the feeling that the zombas might crash and drop significantly in value. I'm wondering what your guys's thoughts on the situation is.

Yes, but only by a small portion of the community that can afford them. All it takes is people who have collected them during their price increase to start selling them which could flood the market, decreasing their price. And then when this happens all the other people who have been holding onto 2,3,10,15 etc.. pairs will start getting scarred and sell them fast leading to a huge decrease in value. This very same thing happened with earbuds in TF2 but that had a much more significant impact on that market as earbuds were considered currecny like keys in TF2 worth roughly 90 rl keys but dropped to 6.

Umm, so then don't trade for them. Seems like you already know the answer.

Sure, but i'm only one person and I could very well be wrong. I'd like to hear from some bigger traders and see what their thoughts on the situation is.

White discos are better. Like the animation more then white zombas as you can see it more clearly.

Disco's in general are very bright and flashy wheels. I especially like forest green discotheque's.

I also like grey Kalos, it has a white center with a grey border. Looks very nice.

Grey Kalos are nice, black however are pretty unfortunate. They look grey with a black border. I've had a couple and man are they ever hard to sell.

I had a guy say 'nice wheels' then later that match say 'ew they aren't zombas.' White zombas are just a meme.
I'm surprised the the demand is as high as you say, considering the lack of general item price stability and what we've already seen happen with crimson voltaic's as well as the limited group of people who can afford the item. all it will take is another nice wheel, or a few people selling in bulk to drive a steep decrease in price. Meme's are meme's but traders are also traders and the golden rule of trading is to never lose profit. Maybe it's just me but I can see a few months from now everyone looking at white zombas and thinking to themselves "these used to be worth 120+ keys?... rip".

Protip: since you can't trade for anything but items or keys*, all items in RL have 0 real world value :). You just have to ask yourself, do i like this cosmetic item on my car y/n?

* unless you wan't to break the ToS and risk a ban on your account.

If Psyonix ever increases the key limit, these extreme item prices may drop a little.
That's a really good point. If it were an accepted currency though the price should stabilize and not be increasing at the rate that it is. My only explanation for it is that larger traders must hold a huge number of the total quantity in existence, reducing supply and forcing the the smaller traders who can afford them to buy them from them, driving up the price. I would really like to see psyonix increase the key trade cap as it might also solve a huge problem with scamming. As of now I just don't see the reason for it.

Only problem with this is I don't see how they can regulate it.

It's hard to compare alpha items to white zombas though as there is a fixed number of alpha items in circulation where as white zombas can be unboxed/traded up to. It would be nice if PC had a larger number of beta nuggets like ps4 players do, to create a stable lower value currency.

Want a currency? Use Slipstream. It's been 8-11 keys for as long as I can remember. One of the most stable items over time

Sure, but there's nothing anywhere that says all items are unlimited. The crate drop rate for each series certainly gets lower over time, which suggests a fixed number. Items must have unique IDs for trading, which is also a limit on their number.
What? Never heard of that before. Do you have proof?

Slipstream used to be 11 keys but has dropped to roughly 9 and is still dropping. This trend is seen with all black market decals. Labyrinth however is the most stable at 4 keys but is also incredibly hard to sell.
