Our character is an average nerd dude who plays BiShojo(pretty girls) games, and being an outsider, I can’t really blame that on him, but it is annoying that we can never fight back to defend ourselves.
Though I think the character Mita’s age would be in their mid 20s judging from each character’s living styles.
Such a bad take lmao
Literally nobody has asked for this ever.
People who unironically use the word "Woke" to describe things theydont like are the most goofiest people ever. Please evolve
And japanese does not?
And japanese does not? (also wtf, that's utterly nonsensical)
It's so weird, too. People take a word in a completely wrong grammatical sense, but assuming they used it correctly a positive meaning, and try to imply it means something bad.
At the same time being unable to define what they even mean with that word.
🤷
1. I does not because it makes sense, Anime culture is Japanese culture after all.
2. Nobody outside of America or Europe cares about the BS identity culture, USA is a strange place when it comes to its identity Politics.
On one hand people who applies visa only have two gender options, on the other hand they have people forcing and suing a christian bakery for not baking a gay cake, and won the case.
I’m not trying to change anyone’s political view but we literally had an Anime’s English voice actor demanding gender swaps for the character recently.
I don’t want that to happen here, that’s all.
I'm a woke hater but I noticed a trend where people are calling everything woke even when it's not. This is doing tremendous damage to the ground we gained fighting against woke crap and is systemically dismantling the anti woke movement cuz people are tired of hearing nonstop false claims about something being woke.
This is a game made by Russian devs who wanted to capture the yandere trope of course the man isn't going to go rambo on her. Your logic implies every horror thing ever is woke just stop.
If you don't want English... then maybe go to the settings for the voice acting and switch to a voice other than English. You're not required to use the same voice that the text and sub-titles are written in. You can choose to have a Chinese interface with a Portuguese voice. This is already how it works, and as such, you appear to be not advocating against a default setting, but rather advocating against OTHER people having options that you don't like.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rE3j_RHkqJc imo : "strange place" in this context is an unearned euphemism for "dogmatic antisocial hellscape" - I'm from USA, so I'm speaking from experience.
They can demand whatever they want because free speech - doesn't mean they have to or should get it, though.
I agree with your opposition to the point of changing the creative work in localization for purposes other than localizing but not to the point of being against the demand being expressed.
I acknowledge that localizers do that sometimes and it has become a serious issue that merits criticism and has valid critics of it within the not so life-serious domain of fictional media integrity - however, this isn't something that happens in the majority of cases, even within the scope of English dubs -- therefore, the answer isn't to just deny people the option of ever having any English dub at all.
Similarly to the points discussed about changes and localization : unlike an anime, games allow users to have options, and I'm against positions that want users to have LESS options for their selves to choose, without a really good reason for why those options degrade the fundamental experience to the point that the main themes are no longer being conveyed. I've already pointed out that non-default options don't change the experience for anyone other than the person who chooses them.
You're the only one who started bringing polical BS into this discussion, so don't try to bow out apologizing now. YOU are the one trying to force your identity politics onto people, by arguing that english voiceovers should not be an optional feature people are free to use or not use.
Can we please keep your political BSery out of this, and just talk about english voiceovers and why they'd be a nice option to have? Hrm? You don't have to force your politics into every discussion, you know?
