Since when was it okay to normalize censorship?

I'm reading some of these comments on here and the sheer amount of people on here who are either okay or don't care about censorship is crazy. Why are we normalizing censorship and changing the original source to please the "modern audience"?

larry is still asian, he's just not a cartoon depiction of asian (i wouldve gone darker skinned, philipino or indonesian, which are still unmistakably asian)

God forbid people dgaf about a pink circle. Original is still widely available and still being advertised by capcom. Its not censorship if capcom still promotes the original and still has it accessible. Capcom isn’t trying to rewrite history with this game. If they did the original would be delisted and only the remake would be the only means of experiencing dead rising 1

yeah that's actually a great move by capcom. most companies would yank the original off the store shelves when the remake hits.
so if the changes REALLY BOTHER YOU (and they shouldnt but whatever) just know they couldve pulled the original from the store shelves at ANY time

It's a genuine hate mob that wants to either get clout, or is already being paid to ensure there's less controversy about things like this, hell even that Asmon streamer dude just found this out.. However, they are going to die out soon, the government themself was funding them and cut funding, so all they can do now is promote their streams and kiss the company's bottom and hope they can get key's or a job..
