Honestly it's kind of too easy if you're experienced with Dead Rising and know any of the handy tricks and secrets.

Also not a remake really.

OG is too easy as well if you already know all the tricks, uzi, katana and the shotgun from the intro scene can carry you through the first day and once you get the small chainsaw it's easy mode. At least DRDR is harder in some ways, bosses have health shields and weapons like the small chainsaw were nerfed.

I do not like how fast we level up though, that's the one thing they went overboard with. All the other changes are fine but Frank being level 12 before the first Carlito fight is a bit much. Game feels much more balanced with mods that slow leveling.

I personally think in terms of gameplay both games have thier strengths and weaknesses

I think they should've included an 'experienced' or 'veteran' difficulty that retains some of the legitimate improvements of this remaster but with the original harder difficulty (I swear the zombies are much less grabby and easier to just slip past in this among other things) but with re-arranged item placements so you can still get the Uzi and Katana, but they are in different spots and you have to find them again. Kind of like the arrange mode in the OG Resident Evil's.

Watch this video and decide for yourself, Imo the remaster is a pathetic excuse of a "remaster" it might of gotten better textures and lighting but everything else is inferior to the original.

after watching the difficulty section i made my decision i would not play a game that was made easier, since dead rising is only fun because its hard, and hard to finish 100% in the first playtrough.

That video (intentionally) doesn't show the parts of the game that are harder compared to OG. Bosses in DRDR for example have a damage cap and can't be instantly shredded anymore like in OG. Small chainsaw is no longer the best weapon in the game like OG and weapon variety is better encouraged. Zombies grab you more often than OG and special forces are not pushovers anymore. Cop zombies also shoot you with their gun and they are pretty scary sometimes with how accurate they are (cut feature from OG that was restored)...

To say it was only made easier to a bit disingenuous - some things were made easier, some thing were made less janky (like controls) and some things were just made outright harder. Even infinity mode isn't as easy as the video shows because special forces and cultists are hunting you down now and RNG can screw you over with NPC spawns... you can't just sit in the bathroom forever, gotta collect more food eventually.

thanks , the video literally made me think it was bad, i will purchase the game and try it, i can always refund in 2 hours if i don't like thank you alot.
It's better in some ways and worse in others. For new fans to the series, it's probably your best bet unless you're used to games with strict time limits

that guy has been shilling non stop since before it was released, check his post history. no, you shouldn't buy the game. it's laughably bad compared to the original game in almost every aspect. all of its praise comes from redditors who never played the original.
Are people still trying to generate engagement for this game? God this is sad lol, i figured all you debbie downers would have been ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the new ninja gaiden right now

OP There is a Demo, go try the demo lol

Anyway, I liked it, I played the original when it released, bought it in a toys r us no less trying to find hidden saturn titles not liquadated still yet lol, i think that same store closed that year (2008 or 2006, cant remember when this released anymore, don't even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ care, yall are just idk). nah 2000-2003 was the best years for ebay and gametz.com for getting games and systems (mainly the saturn, psx, dreamcast) gawd once sega annoucned they were withdrawing from making consoles, saturn prices dropped to nothing, still PDS (panzer dragoon saga) was already a collectiable fairly high priced game even then (magazines really did praise it as a swan song and compared it with FF7 i swear to gawd)
I got a brand new saturn, nights into dream, 3d pad in box brand new, virtua on, vf2, sega rally, for like 100 bucks back then lol (honestly it might have been less, but remember shipping too), of course i sold them off but man did i love playing virtua on and nights for like a year straight, oh oh and i think i gave my saturn to a friend cause he bought shinning force 3 (he loved those tactical rpgs like FF Tactics), of course now in hindsight i wish i put all those rare things into a safety desposit box lol

You sound pretty upset that you're not being validated for your choice of games that you play. I'd say that's pretty sad...

No. The original is simply a better game.
