Is there a way to reduce XP gains? I don't want to level 4 times by taking a picture
I checked a comparison between the original and this up to the early point of when you take the picture of the couple at the rooftop.

Original: Level 1, maybe 2
Remake (this): Level 5 maybe 7+

I don't want the game to be extremely easy, I want to feel the leveling. Maybe there is a mod or an editor out there to change the XP gain multiplier?

I just think of it as I’m going to reach level 50 anyways I just don’t abuse the camera and use it for only key moments, I could have easily reached a high level right at the beginning by just taking pictures of zombies right outside the mall entrance

To be fair, just because you level up quickly it doesn’t make your game any easier. Especially considering what you unlock with each level is random.

With that said, considering this is being made with the REEngine, I’m sure a PP reducer or nullifier will come at some point. Might have to wait a few week though.

It does make much easier. By the time you leave the helicopter you're level 3, by the time you go back to the mall after meeting Jesse and Brad you're already level 8 and have extra life and inventory space.

Melee weapons also have much higher durability now. That Katana you get jumping from the balcony lasts a lot.

The game is muuuuch easier. Like Baby Rising easier. Trivial even.

That’s…literally the first game as well, bud.

Again, what you get on level ups are random, so it’s not guaranteed to be easier.

Absolutely not true.
In the original you will always come off the helicopter level 1. Not level 3.
In the original you will be level 3 by the time you go back to the mall, not level 8.

I don't know why you are even try to pretend this version isn't 10x easier when everyone already noticed it since before release.

Reviewers who got earlier access to the game even talked about it and assumed that maybe the XP gain was cranked up for them so they could see more of the game in order to report on it and expected to be turned down to normal on release. They didn't. That's how the game is now.
