Why such a late unlock time?

Not the end of the world. Just means I'll get to play it on the 19th instead of the release date. I just don't think I've ever seen such a late release time. I looked at the map and it's not even like there are other places getting it at the typical 1pm release time. Just seems weird.

Instead of releasing it at midnight, and allowing everyone from their region to enjoy the game at what is considered a traditional release time, Capcom held back everyone else's release to be on parity with the Japanese release date.

Meanwhile the Xbox allows you to change your locale to New Zealand and play it early.

To me - it still seems early just because I remember being a kid and needing to actually go to the store for this stuff.

Be at EB Games or Gamestop around like 11:30PM ET Thursday in line waiting for them to open the doors just so I can get "Call of Duty : Modern Warfare" and then get home around 1AM and play a MP match before remembering I got school later on that day LOL.

Made getting home Friday that much better.

I used to buy my games at Electronics Boutique, before Gamestop bought them and rebranded them to EBgames. Plenty of Midnight releases were awesome. Smash Brothers Brawl, Halo 2, Skyrim were all worth going to.

Capcom stays doing this ♥♥♥♥ with almost every game release of theirs. Happened with MvC: Infinite when that launched too. Makes zero sense to me.

seems good for me in uk its normally 6pm its 12 to night so almost 18 hours faster

... I'm fairly certain the store page says September 18th, but yeah the game wiki says 19th.

My guess is they catered the release time to Japan on the 19th. This happens pretty often with Japanese companies in my experience. No biggie, just a minor annoyance.

Time zones dude! In my case it releases on the 18th in couple hours from now. Also they often do their releases based off the Japanese release too.

It unlocks at 7, so no.

19th September is the date the infection starts in the game. so makes sense for the release date to be the 19th.
