original vs remaster? which better

they are both good. 2016 is better but the QoL in this new release is amazing, getting map markers and otties calls not being dreadful and various small changes make the new one its own experience and it is good. That being said only buy these games at a discount.

honestly i dont see any reason to go back to the og game other than to compare it, ill be staying with the remaster for future playthroughs

the quality of life improvements are 10x better as well, gameplay is overall way better

gameplay is a million times better imo, going back to the original after a week of playing this was jarring with how janky it was

the gameplay is far better in the remake, but the tone and voice acting is better in the original. so if gaemplay is king than play the new one, if art style and story is what you want play the og it just oozes atmosphere. The new game looks great but there is something creepy about the og, and the og has less bugs its a smoother experince right now.

AI is better in the remake but that's not a high bar considering how abysmal it was

If you've never played either you'll find the remaster far more enjoyable. It addresses multiple issues which made the original very frustrating. Top of the list, improved AI for the survivors.

There are no new LGBTQ themes. The only truly terrible change they made was to Larry the psychopath. Every other change was minimal and the pros outweigh the cons.

If you're worried about LGBQT+ stuff then stay away. The game no longer rewards you for taking upskirt shots of dead women so the heterosexual appeal is completely gone and the game is for the gays now.

That was true artistic vision.

Now when I take upskirt pictures of dead women I just seem like a creep instead of playing the game the way it was meant to be played.

But in all seriousness what a pathetic thing to be concerned about...

Edit: Bigots are so mad they don't get PP for upskirt pictures of dead women. Who knew they were as into dead women as they are kids?
