auto save
Will you be able to shut off auto save? I feel like the charm of the old game was trying to manage time and not dying in between saves. Higher risk game play.

It can be turned off, yes. But autosaves themsleves use their own slot so you can still manually save like normal even if they're turned on.

And TBH the charm of the old save system has been gone for a long time now. They gave us 5 slots in the 2016 remaster which reduced the game's difficulty significantly. It lost that "rogue-like" feeling where you sometimes had to restart your run with no other options.

I'm all for having the option if people want the original feel. But it was an artificial difficulty mechanic too often employed in Japanese developed games. Much like excessive grinding in RPGs.

Games used to reward for alot of different challenges.

Now they charge you for the rewards and just give you the game completely open ended like a sandbox generally.

I always kinda liked save points as it gives me more of a feeling of acomplisment in the game.

People have always self imposed there own rules alot of the times if they enjoy a game.

Kinda sucks now people can data mine games day 1. No more sense of mystic or rumors.
I remember my friend obessed with ocraina of time, he swore he was going to find the triforce ingame

Its funny, i thought ready player one was kinda silly movie but they really nailed what video games are about, #1 on a leader board, and finding all the easter eggs in a game

Is there a option to turn off the timer?
