what’s up with Larry’s (butchers) design change?
did anyone else notice that too? it looks like he changed from a Chinese immigrant to a middle aged white man

Yes... that is unfortunate.
cuz anti-chinese sentiment around the world is much higher than it was all those years ago?

probably cause the original remade wouldve looked racist, new ones not too bad but the hat, glasses and moustache look dumb

Larry's design was pretty terrible, probably the worst of the original and honestly doesn't even fit well in the original, wouldn't it make more sense if Carlito's death was almost at the hands of a butcher that is a stereotypical representation of the american consumerism that Carlito's motivations revolve around? Rather than some random really racist looking depiction of a Chinese dude.

ah yes "anything i dont like is woke" a white person going to black in a redesign. "woke!" then if its reversed...its somehow woke as well?

Yeah it is weird they would change him, i don't see it as offensive.

While I always liked Larry's design, it's very obviously stereotypical. I would've preferred they not change it, but I understand why they have.

Carlito’s drive for vengeance was because Santa Cabeza was destroyed by unchecked consumerism and capitalism.

Larry was a fantastic embodiment of Dead Rising 1’s theme, as a butcher, he represented the insatiable appetite of American consumerism, serving as a literal and metaphorical middleman in an industry characterized by overindulgence.

Adds a layer of irony to the narrative, as Carlito met his demise at the hands of Larry, a butcher whose immigrant journey led him to prosper within the very system Carlito sought to destroy.

I don't quite see what the problem is.

I find Larry to be mostly forgettable psychopath in the original EXCEPT for Paul, he's probably the worst one. The original Larry however was very creepy and gross. The new version looks interesting and I'm curious to see how they handle it but I'm open to the idea of him being changed

In this case it's "woke" because it's seen as "socially acceptable" to villainize white people. I bet somebody in the dev team was told nobody would mind.

I'm def hyped for this but i'm more concerned about Franks face, he just looks too old compared to how he used to look.
