No co-op
How could you "remaster" this game and not add co-op?

the intention is to not alter the game but bring it to people who never played it 18 years ago. This game wouldn't be the same if it was coop. The pacing and structure of the game would need to be reworked to fit another player. You want coop go play 2 or 3.

What about "remaster" suggests completely upending the entire design to you?

I admit that adding a co-op multiplayer mod like in Dead Rising 2 would be incredible, I've been dreaming of it since the release of 2, but the work accomplished already is remarkable, a huge thank you for this deluxe remaster edition, a co-op mode would be the final ultimate bonus :reheart:

I would like coop too but I'm glad they're getting a product out without the modern pitfalls of online functionality.
Maybe later? But I suspect this will be a one and done kind of release.

Because the original wasn't made with it in mind?

Because the old game never had co-op? What kind of a stupid question is that?:steamfacepalm:

I would've loved a sandbox co-op mode just to screw around with. It's always been a dream of mine to run around Willamette with a friend.

Because the original didn't have it and wasn't designed with it in mind, this is a remaster that is trying to be as faithful to the original gameplay as possible

I don't think an optional co-op mode would hurt anything. And they've already made some decently large changes to the gameplay, like being able to aim and move. It doesn't have to be 1:1 identical, the original still exists.

I was expecting something like this, would've been great but sadly it doesn't seem like that's included

Lmao all these people saying coop wasn't intended are dumb. Coop was legitimately planned for the game but was cut due to time constraints. It seems they're adding cut content because the rocket launcher is in so coop would be the biggest cut content feature to add since it was originally planned.

If you mention that you would like a co-op mode, on the internet, you're calling forth a troll horde that wishes nothing more than to insult and disrespect you for ever desiring such a thing.

I too was hoping co-op would be in the deluxe version. I had so much fun in Dead Rising 2 with friends.. Praying a co-op mode shows up eventually, or a talented modder adds in 'two Franks' mode, which is exactly what the co-op in DR 2 is, but with double Chucks.

It was actually, it was just cut to meet release deadlines for the xbox 360 launch.

the old game also didnt have a compass directing you to multiple objectives at once, the ability to speed up time and stairs leading to the safehouse

what sort of stupid answer is this?!?!?!?

I guess it's because this is a dead ip and they are just remastering it with some minor QOL improvements to see if there is still an audience for it.
