This would be great to have at a table. Does it work on a tablet or Ipad?

No it does not. Smiteworks are working on a new version that runs on Unity, so hopefully that will help getting FG on tablets too as lots of people have asked for the same. Note though that you will, especially as a GM have A LOT of forms open, maps, sheets, combat tracker and other stuff and the place can be very crammed. When I GM I actually use 2 monitors and I often still would like more space ;). For a player though it might work.

The next major release of Fantasy Grounds will be built on the Unity Game engine. There wont be any Tablet support until that project is completed.

Not all devices suffer from running iOS. The system runs fully and completly on my Dell Venue 11 TABLET and Surface.

Yes it works on a Surface Pro for example but you would not use it fully with touch gestures. You would still find it faster and easier to use mouse and keyboard as well.
