El Satan ain't wrasslin'?

So I got El Satan for the first time in ages, and I distinctly remember him using WRASSLIN' moves. But in this run, he wouldn't do ANYTHING unarmed. Even locking him to the empty top inventory spot resulted in him just running in circles, uselessly, even with SMASHIN'/Fighting as the group settings.
He'd pick up and use anything as a weapon, even smashing stuff with a cowboy rifle. (He still wouldn't SHOOT with the rifle, so it still recognized him as "melee character", but again, no wrasslin'.)

(thankfully this run I got a knight's sword, that made him at lest viable)

i don't think AI characters can throw anything. i got el satan in a recent run and was able to WRASSLE with him as the lead character with no problem
