How to use a gun?

I'm a noob

And it shoots.

I have the same issue. Despite having 31 rifle bullets in my inventory and a hunting rifle all my dude seems to want to do is hold it backwards and swing at people. There's no documented command in the game to switch melee/firing mode. What gives?

Make sure your gun is loaded before leaving the car. If it says 0 under the gun you're doing it wrong.

Nevermind, I was using EL SATAN and apparently he flat out refuses to use firearms correctly. What jacked me up was that he was the very first character I tried to use a gun with.

Sorry about that. I was guessing either that was the problem or Martial Artist was or some other no-shoot character.

I feel like these guys should have a special icon in their shooting skill. Like a buster icon, so it's clear they literally can't as opposed to just sucking.

For Martial Artist I made those characters have like -10 shooting skill, so their icon always flashes. I may do the same for El Satan and others, then.
