Controller lagging/unresponsive
When selecting anything with a gamepad, I have to move the cursor to other buttons in order for the A button to register my actions. This often ends up in unintentional selections.

I'm encountering the same issue.

What build are you running?

Same problem here, I'm using an XBox 360 controller. This also affects inventory selection, a lot of times you have to "wiggle" around by moving away from, then coming back to, the item you want to select before you can actually select it. SPLEEN JUL-30-2016.12.10

SPLEEN AUG-01-2016.16.27 Although it did just appear to update so perhaps it was the same as Jinkeez build. I'm using a wireless 360 controller. I've tried 3 other gamepads just to see if the controller itself was an issue and they all behaved the same way.

Have you tried upping the analogue stick deadzone to 30% in the options?
I had this issue the first time I played, haven't had it since and that's the only thing I changed.

Hey, good call, this worked for me!

Wow! I've been playing for 20 minutes and so far it appears that clippa's solution worked! Thanks! Perhaps the menu doesn't like a bunch of extended and simultaneous inputs? The analogue sticks on these older controllers can be a bit drifty at times.

I'll make another note to set the deadzone default higher.
