I'm loving KEPA mode. Marathon mode was the one that was unpleasant.

I did clear an untouched grocery on day 10 ish once only to have Kepa get killed in the last bathroom after he somehow got stuck on a zombie by the door and couldn't leave the room with the rest of the group. That made me sad.

He was also a demonic KEPA, with a devil fork, and the devil fork is basically the greatest.

Marathon mode was actually my favorite out of the 4 extreme modes. Just having a strong party early on just allows you to steamroll the rest of the run.

Marathon is an amazing challenge mode, but KEPA is the ultimate fight. I lost my first try at COCH because of 1hp, I couldnt make it through the hordes. But on my second run, for some reason the map collapsed under itself, so there were no buildings, giving me a canvas of a arena to fight it.

What luck eh? Now Kepa's in Canada!

Also, I experimented with Marathon, if you stockpile, you can skip days because you have everything you need. Unfortunately, I also learned what happens if you use a tiny car at a Sardine Packed Reststop. R.I.P mah dog.

i was the first to beat KEPA mode the first week the game was out. I did "learn to beat it"

Yep run still continues even if Kepa dies. I had Kepa die at the run to Canada. (I even brought his dead corpse all the way to the Prime Minister lol.) There wasn't any penalty to losing Kepa. Completing the run without him counts for a win in the stats, streak stat, and a win on the game mode choices.

Personally, I would've enjoyed if there was a hidden achievement saying something about you killed Kepa since the Don't Let Me Die achievement states 'Please don't get me killed.'

there's a way to cheat :D







if everyone dies (or just a useful character), you can just close the game before the screen starts turning red!

if you reopen the game, you'll be at the driving scene, and then you can try another location or retry the one you died in!

Doing that, you wouldn't experience any of the pride that comes with achieving something difficult, and you'd be stuck with the uncomfortableness of wearing a badge that you didn't earn.

Sounds like a worst-case scenario to me!
