Secret Tips
Having enough Umbrellas in your inventory to cover your whole party bypasses the bad effects of walking in rain. Debutante's unique umbrella as well as Beach Umbrellas contributes to this.

Having a Tree Branch allows you to bypass the morale penalty of getting the dog poop off of loot, and without a Friend of Dog character. Additionally, Friend of Dog characters can recruit the Panda without a bribe. (This is a creative interpretation of what using "Dog Psychology" means on the Panda from the wiki so take it with a grain of salt.)

Making a character bald has a benefit! If you go into a certain machine one of the random outcomes is losing your hair, normally giving you -3 morale. However, if you're bald, you instead gain +3!

Some buildings seem like they are blocked off by trash, but can actually be entered. Look for a star that appears momentarily at the door. This also applies to doors inside buildings. The doors with the stars have not been passed through yet. Any lootable objects or weapons(?) will have stars too. (This may be partially incorrect, as I recall immediately entering and exiting rooms but still having the rooms marked.)

This may not be a secret to you, but if you interact with the no fishing sign at the Fishing Cabins with a character with a Fishing Rod, you can bring up a magical fish that can give you food or better strength, fitness, shooting, and vitality. (Any other kinds of fishing rods, like Billy's, will not work.)

With high Shooting and Composure, you get the stat combo Calm Shot. This makes training shooting hilariously easy for the last 1-3 levels of Shooting as well as acting as a replacement for Paranoid as it destroys most bandits.

Dogs can be Supertrained if all other party members die. Other pets can be supertrained via machines.

Dogs will die if fed a chocolate bar.

When the game says "LUCK MASSIVELY DECREASED!" or "LUCK INCREASED!" or anything similar, your luck seed is set to either 13 or 777777777 which affects what kind of events you give. 13 will give you worse events, while 777777777 will give you better events. When the game says "LUCK MASSIVELY DECREASED!" during the Weegee Board event it affects the whole party's character seed, which affects their individual overall luck.

If a character has 6 mechanical, they can fix the UFO.

If you keep the Clown until the end of the game, The City of Crushed Hopes has clown zombies.

Zombies walk straight forward towards you once they see you, so zombies can only get past walls parallel to you and them by having zombies being pushed by each other off the sides.

NPCs can only be damaged by the player if you use explosives or fire.

The COOL IT meter is filled by 1 in most events if you choose COOL IT or SAY IT DON'T SPRAY IT. Most of the time, this wastes a good opportunity to get loot. However, when it reaches 3, it becomes COOL IT!!! or SAY IT DON'T SPRAY IT!!! which gives massive rewards. (According to some people, you actually require 6 COOL IT charges and there is a chance for an event to either give you 2 or 3 giving you a 25% chance to max the COOL IT meter in 2 events.)

Events with "Cool It" in the title will max the Cool It meter.

On April 20th, the Blunt Master will have a 4/20 DEAL! where you can buy all of her weapons at once for just 8 food.

The game autosaves between every event. Normally, exiting the game during missions will delete the save and you can't exit at all during events. However, Alt+F4 replicates a game crash, allowing you to pull of some very useful exploits. For example:

Fixing broken map generation

Forcing useful broken map generation

Randomizing zombie aggression

Manipulating random chances

Reversing any character deaths

During rescue missions/rare locations, reversing the death of any rescuable characters.

Note that the driving/walking animation is the indicator that the game has autosaved or is autosaving, so you must be careful with walking or driving events and be sure not to click "OK" before closing the game.

For example, one character in my party was on 1 health and some were on two health. Luckily, in the bandit event I came across, there's a random chance for a character to take no damage at all if you retaliate instead of 1. I kept closing and reopening the game, going through the event over and over until the character with 1 health survived.

In Endless Mode, the devs never expected anybody to be able to clear the mode. Endless Mode is the only game mode where it is possible to find so many characters that events stop loading correctly on your save file. (This may no longer apply, as I don't have the self discipline to beat Endless Mode and one of my wizards was accidentally left behind in a tunnel run when I did try to beat it.)

In Endless Mode, there are often so many zombies that your car explodes or is severely damaged when you enter any event where you enter with the car, because the zombies are packed impossibly close together. To avoid this, try memorizing what events start you out with a car and without a car and make your decision from there.

Upon talking to one of the NPCs in the Anime Store as the Anime Girl, their love for anime halts the deterioration process of the Anime Girl for 99 days. In any normal mode, even Marathon, it is impossible for it to begin again. However, in Endless Mode, the Anime Girl would have to find another Anime Store to halt the process again after 99 days have passed.

Passing a rare character with locked weapons through The Tetrographic Vortex or putting them through the Science Machine, Ominous Labs machine, or the Mysterious Device (only with the consequence of being transformed to a dog) causes any locked weapon in their first slot to be unlocked and the weapons in the 2nd or 3rd slot are deleted. I believe this applies to any normal characters as well. In the case of the Science Machine, the weapons are dropped to the floor and in the case of The Tetrographic Vortex, they are added to the equip tab.

Using the Teleporter to skip the barrier between the Prime Minister and the player prevents you from being attacked at all, guaranteeing you victory as you cannot be attacked. However, you can't talk to the Prime Minister until the barrier opens up. Even if all the Mounties, Beavers, and the Moose is killed, the Mecha Mountie will eventually appear and let you talk to the Prime Minister after the barrier is opened.

Samedi, the skeleton summoner, has the perk Skeleton Queen. This causes her to summon one skeleton at the beginning of every mission she participates in and two more upon taking damage. However, when Samedi's head is changed, the Skeleton Queen perk is deactivated.

Raising your shooting stat increases your accuracy with guns and also increases the chance of getting a critical shot, allowing a bullet to penetrate a zombie and hit another one. Pistols have a low critical shot chance but are quicker to reload. Rifles have high critical shot chance but get less effective if shot from a short distance, and Shotguns fire multiple bullets but have low damage. On a side note, Cowboy Rifles are unique and have a 2% chance to break when used as a melee weapon.

Bows are not affected by the shooting stat. They utilize high fitness to prevent characters from tiring out and high strength to increase draw speed. Bows are also silent and won't attract zombies.

Green Turrets act as a deployable Uzi that fires at zombies without any required ammo and has 2 vitality. Red Turrets act as a deployable Minigun and has 3 vitality instead of 2.

The Toy Hammer sometimes launches zombies far father than it should normally.

In the Bottomless Pit walking event, (the one where supplies fall out of a character's backpack) if you have very little supplies you will not lose anything and the afflicted character's morale increases.

I'll add more if I remember anything.

Fixes/Changes:

- Fixes/Changes now exists

- At least according to the Death Road to Canada fandom wiki, the seed value is set to 777777777 with 9 sevens, not 6.

- Anime Girl's deterioration isn't fully halted.

- Tetrographic Vortex/Machines unlocks the first slot if it there is a locked weapon there.

- Using the Teleporter at The Border to Canada makes you untouchable if you get to the end!

- Used an example for the usefulness of ALT+F4ing.

- NPCs can also be killed by fire.

- Spelling errors fixed.

- Clown zombies appear in the last siege, not the Border to Canada.

- Samedi loses ability after head change.

- Added some uncertainty.

- Gun tips.

- Bow tips.

- Turret tips.

- Debutante Umbrella also reduces morale loss.

- Toy Hammer knockback.

- You can have so few materials you don't end up losing any.

Going up against a wall and using a healing spray on it heals the character you're controlling.

I always imagined the "Luck Decreased!" outcome in the Ouija Board event was all a myth.
