I'll do a little more testing of this tonight.
For starters, why don't you make zombo points increase be displayed right when you're supposed to earn them? I don't understand if you heard this and you're a developer, why aren't you doing anything about it? :P
Just displaying the gain won't fix the gains not happening at all, although I agree that displaying the gains would make them easier to track. Furthermore, if they're aware that the issue doesn't happen on their end, they've clearly done testing to try to replicate the issue. You can't fix something if you can't find out what's not working right.
The fact that this only impacts some people means it's probably an issue on the user's end. It's not impossible to fix, but it's very challenging to do so without detailed information you can't tell by simply looking - information they can't collect on their ends, and most users lack the tools for. The difficulty is further compounded by not wanting to implement a fix that will break things for everyone else. It's definitely not a simple fix.
I understand the frustration - I had the issue for a bit but it resolved itself (I spent the 10 ZP to unlock Extra ZP 1 but somehow it didn't save that I got it, despite my 10 ZP still being gone - but I was able to rebuy it later once I noticed) but giving the devs a hard time about it won't get it fixed faster.
And I'm sure adding ZP gain notifications has been added to the very, very long list of things to do.
I feel like the message I wrote and the one you're seeing are two very different versions. I am not frustatingly hammering my computer while screaming at the screen writing slurs in all caps, I am asking questions.
Also, silently accepting things because only a few people have that problem isn't really fair. Silently accepting problems instead of asking questions in a normal tone is not really going to make them aware of a problem either.
I understand your frustation with my appearnt frustation, but giving me a hard time about asking questions won't get answers faster.
I think they're two separate issues, but I'm not sure. And it's not happening on mine. If I don't get a bug and not too many people do, it then becomes very hard to track down. Due to this, rarer bugs are usually harder to fix.
I could add a more clear display to the list. Just need to figure out what to do there, exactly, for the different cases.
I was actually mainly trying to explain why it's hard to fix, and sympathizing with the fact that I agree that it's not fair. Perhaps saying it was a matter of frustration wasn't the right way of wording that.
Sorry for the confusion.
