Zombo Points - is it possible to farm them?
I know that hard work always pays off, (even if your buddy decides to leave your group after the 1st siege) but sometimes it is just tedious. Any ideas?

I finished buying everything from Zombo Town a couple days ago and yeah, it is a bit tedious to get all the ZP.

The fastest way to go would probably be to do quick solo dog runs. Deadlier Road mode and above double your ZP gain from sieges so if you're really good at the dog playstyle you can stand to gain a lot of ZP quickly.

Another option might be to do Short Trip to Heck mode repeatedly. It's considerably easier (imo) than the standard mode since there are fewer zombies, and since the flat ZP gains are still the same, probably faster overall. Rare Extreme is another good mode to spam since many of the rare characters are quite powerful.

A final, true "farming" method relies on the upgrade from the gnome that grants 1 ZP for every character that dies. Get it, start a run with a buddy, then intentionally kill yourself for 2 ZP a pop (3 ZP on the final game mode). I haven't tried this so I can't confirm it actually works though.

I've been trying to map out my own ZP gain and finding ways to optimize it, and here's what I've come up with, in addition to Mint's suggestions above.

- There's Gnome ZP Upgrades to reward Zombo Points for both rescuing people AND recruiting people. Combine this with the final upgrade that gives ZP when anyone dies, and this is a recipe for burst gains; See a rescue mission, disarm your least useful member, sacrifice them, recruit the newcomer after rescuing them. 3 Zombo Points in one go. Rescues seem to come up pretty regularly as well, so you can probably get 15 points in one Short Trip to Heck mode when you add siege survivals.

- No rescues? Hoard sellable weapons. You can buy an unlock that rewards 1 ZP per weapon you sell. You can probably combine this with a Top Seller character to actually make gun running a viable strategy to get enough food. If you have 5 weapons you can sell, boom, 5 ZP. Quick, simple, and if you're doing it just to farm ZP, it doesn't matter if you sell too much because restarting is quick and easy.

The downside? It costs a good amount of ZP to even unlock these perks in the first place. But it gets faster once you do.

You just gave me an idea. Big Bruiser/BERSERK for your combat specialist. Top Seller/Paranoid for gun running and staying alive. Go on Short Trip to Heck mode to make the sieges a bit easier, and so you can stay alive more reliably (Rare Extreme if you're feeling confident). Sell extra shotguns and cowboy rifles for tons o' food. Go to as many rescues as you can (except for the gas station ones, stay away from those like the plague), sacrifice the least useful team member and pick up a new one. If you can, grab a vitality increase for your combat specialist.

At the end before reaching Canada, kill off everybody but the combat specialist. If one person makes it to the end, that's still a win!

Also, if granted the choice in the beginning of the game when the zombies are still sparse, it might not be a bad idea to be tired the next morning in exchange for a mechanical or strength increase for your Top Seller.

Yeah, others have also said that they weren't getting ZP. They look like they're working for me; I was playing on Short Trip to Heck mode, I went into a trade outpost with 38 ZP, had a character die by telling the chainsaw vendor to COOL IT (I can never remember which people are okay for COOL IT), did a siege after that, and had 40 ZP after that.

If I lose my win streak I'll do that thing I mentioned where you just lose a run right away and see if I gain 2 ZP out of that.

It should be working. Is it definitely not giving the bonus ZP? Maybe it just isn't obvious enough.

It's nice to see Devs reading and responding to posts. Love the new additions to the game so far!
