Tips to play on Deadlier Road Mode
I've done both long and short road complete, but in the deadlier road i can't go past 8/7 Day mark.

Any tips?

First off, I have to ask what ends your runs on day 7/8. Lack of food, morale, etc? Also, what combination of traits are you using? Then you have to consider changing up your strategy for deadlier road because 1) bandits deal 2x more damage and require you to give up more to get past them and 2) there are more zombies on the map now compared to the other modes on the 1st page.

In terms of traits, I like to run a glass cannon build with car nut/civilized and big bruiser/berserk, which gives you maxed mechanical for the car, good med, and great fighting skills from the very beginning. Also, I use car nut to reroll for the 8 gas consumption small car at the start of the game. There are other combinations that you can use for the "fighting" char that don't force you to have 2 health (because bandits can 1 hit KO you), but like I said, I like to play glass cannon.

In terms of choosing locations at the start, always go yall-mart or rest stop. They usually give you some decent combo of food/gas compared to the variable quiet hotel/house/factory which may give you little of either. Then from there, just choose locations based on your supply needs (usually food is #1, but if you need gas, then hardware store, gas station siege, etc.).

In terms with dealing with the bandits, you can run Paranoid as a trait and in conjuction with the great personality stats of Civilized, get past through most if not all of the bandit scenarios. You can also just rely on the great medical stats of Civilized to heal through bandit attacks with less cost to your medical supplies. In terms of the zombies, I take a slower, more methodical approach to gathering supplies. I know some people like to use one character/solo speed dog strat to gather supplies and just book it, but I've found that taking the time to clear the map with a full party results in just safer gathering, albeit slower gathering. In the easier modes, it's possible to just run through everything, but it gets harder especially in KEPA mode to run past all the zombies especially when they're aggressive, so I just take the time to kill them off.

I've beaten all the modes during early/mid summer (although I don't think big bruiser/martial artist came out until the end of it, so I think I ran some other build for the "fighting character") using this strat. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

I usually can scavenge alright, but the bandits will usually doom me and then a siege happens. Or when the car breaks and you have to walk, it destroys every little amount of supply and i'll end up dying on the next siege.

So why do bandits doom you? Is it because you didn't design your characters to have the traits that can deal with bandits? Do you choose the wrong options? For sieges, there are checkpoints for sieges to happen (1st happens on the 3rd day, etc.) so that you can predict them. Why does your car break down so often? Do you have a strong mechanics from the start? Do you run out of gas? For my runs, my car usually can get all the way until the end in one go (tiny car) or it would break down only 1 time throughout the entire run if I get unlucky.

Play more runs, max out all the traits and just try again when you have that.
