Dropping off items?

I wasn't sure if I have just been missing it/overlooking it. But I didn't know if there was a way to drop off collected items to our car during loot runs?

For example, you are at a highly infested Yall Mart or one of those other shops (like police station or Pet stores) and inbetween houses on the road you drop off items by going to the trunk. I know you can do that with found weapons to clear inventory, but what about food or fuel etc? I tend to do solo loot runs while leaving other people to rest so in the event I die, my game doesnt just cut off. But in that kind of scenario, I'd lose everything I looted and the survivers drive off.

Wasn't sure if that was a feature, if not. Can this sort of thing be considered?

Whenever you transfer a weapon from/to the trunk, the game recalculates your supplies to accomodate for ammunition requirements and thus puts whatever excess your character has in the trunk, including food and fuel. I noticed the final report showed less supplies whenever I came back for femurs and wood planks but I never connected the dots until now.

This should probably be something the game does automatically, and the game should show +food/+gas whenever do it if you're reading this rocketcat <3

Oh really? I dont think I ever noticed. Just the supply count on everything seemed to remain the same and just continue to go up in number..

Do you mean doing it automatically when opening the trunk, instead of having to transfer weapons?

Yeah, some kind of notifcation that you've done so would be nice as well. Just a quality of life feature.

I totally agree with this! I have no idea it was a thing! It being automatic would be great :)
