Red Locations

Does red text in looting events only indicate difficulty, or are there usually better rewards as well?

I have been playing for awhile now and I find myself going to more and more Red Text Locations because it does feel like I secure more loot in Red Text Locations as opposed to white. I cant tell you if its 100% true though.

Normal = Increases in difficulty depending on days from canada and gamemode
Red = Usually more difficult
RAINBOW = Special events

If it's flashing and red there's probably some amazing loot waiting for you there, I also believe that red locations provide much better loot in general than white ones, a !!SWARMED YALL MART!! yielded me 50 food once

And what rainbow flashing on locations means?

Those are "unique" locations. They usually look different, and/or have characters and/or loot that you can't get anywhere else.

Like... a concrete bunker, spooky graveyard, or UFO landing site.
