The things mentioned here are just not in the scope of a 3 game remaster which costs 30 € on release day.
So, yeah, get real. That's all one can say.
Except actually they are!
NPC models and weapons were updated in TR 1-3.
They are not updated in the remastered version of AOD.
It's pretty clear AOD is unfinished again, as a big fan of AOD I'm waiting until it gets patched before I continue.
Yeah there are some gameplay additions as well as the restored voice lines.
It's just a shame visuals aren't as improved.
I was really hoping for LAU modern controls in all locations.
yeah i noticed lack of reflections and wet surfaces in very beginning of game and it felt like massive downgrade, this was noticed on screenshots before, it expected this to be fixed before release, unfortunately it was not. Also annoying thing in game design of AOD like staming has no option to be disabled, and a lot of people hated this mechanics. AOD imediatelly turned me OFF with lazy AI upscaled FMV that has old lara model with lower poly count and nobody even tried to do some per-frame AI face swap or manual retouch to match updated models of lara and other objects. I have not yet interacted with NPC because i rage quit AOD because clunky controls killed me in tutorial and tutorial annoyed me by not allowed me to move until Lara finished talking next tip which made game feel like some turn-based crap, but if even bodies of dead NPC would vanish like in original, i would call this remaster lazy...
By the way - Classic mode in TR4 and even remastered mode got some dowgrade too, origina TR4 had bump mapping that kind made a lot of texture shiny and volumetric, this is gone now, and yet again we have no option for interpolated filtered out smooth textures that we had on PC since TR1 up to TR5.
I really wish all original effects and graphical options from PC to be restored for classic mode in all 6 remasters AND even for remastered mode where those options are lacking like bump maps and reflections and other things like dof and so on.
