Could you help me to play RUST with Macbook pro (M1 2020)...?
Hi, I'm one of the Mac users and want to play RUST with my Mac. I already bought RUST through STEAM, but it is still not fitted with my machine..., although the setting of this game was edited to the lightest one including the Graphics setting.

In here, is someone playing RUST with the same condition? And then if someone can do it, could you tell me the tips to play it with my Mac...?

The system information of My mac is these.
model: Macbookpro 13inch (M1 2020)
RAM: 8Gbyte (<I know, the system requirement of RUST needs over 10G RAM...)
SSD: 512G and over 200G available
Others: using 4K external LED monitor via USB-C connecting

And then,
if I should change my Mac from 8G RAM model to 16G RAM model to play RUST, it is one of the good options for me, if it is a good way to play it comfortably. However, I'm afraid that using MacBook(M1) is not good choice to play it basically.

Thanks.

I have 18,285 hours i RUst since Dec 2015. Almost all on Macbook Pros. mid2015 Retina and now M1 Max. All 16GB+ so memory will be an issue, My best recommendation for you if you have decent internet is to use GeForce Now: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce-now/ You can use the free version. If you like it later if you pay it just gives you longer continuous sessions where you don't have to disconnect and reconnect as often. It runs the supported games on THEIR machines and THEIR GPUs so doesn't require as much resources on your laptop. ALso, RUST CRANKS up the heat on your laptop and runs fans at near max, so geforce now also keeps your system from getting really hot. I recommend 1440x900 or so as the resolution, lowering it helps i turn off al experimental effects or did before this machine, Mine M! Max has 64GB so it has no issues running it at a lot of max settings, my Retina i kept closer to potato mode. several other settings i also lowered. Try geforce now and if you don't like it reach out to me and i can help you tweak settings on your machine. The M1 GPUs are a lot better than what my Retina had so it may run well even with only 8GB but i would go to 16GB if you have choice.

I have a Mac Mini M1 with 8GB RAM. You can play the game, but you will be limited to small maps. I typically play size 2250-2500.
