We have now modified our backend to feed the anticheat module by HTTP protocol.
As its still under testing, could you try if it fixes the issue for you? To test, download and replace your existing EasyAntiCheat .DLL files in Steam\SteamApps\Common\Rust\EasyAntiCheat\ with these files: http://sandra.easyanticheat.net/test/ and then start the game from Steam again.
If it works we will update it to everyone.
We have confirmed that these files will fix the problem and we will release a patch soon that contains this fix. Unfortunately if the problem is caused by firewall and/or antivirus replacing the files wont help.
I replaced the files and it worked, thanks nago.
Unfortunately I`m an OSX 10.9.2 User.
I don´t even have a ...\EasyAntiCheat\ Folder.
anyway wont be a troll so i decided to create the Folder and put the DLL File in.
And of course it wont work. no wonder.
Any Ideas or just no more RUST on OSX so far?
Unfortunately these files are for Windows only at the moment, but we will release a patch soon that will change the download protocol that EAC uses to HTTP. That will fix the problem for OS X too.
it worked that time when you wrote the update. now this does not work and does not need to refer to the anti-virus as you love to do. why everything worked until the last update. now even your curve cheat does not work
same problem i got

Hi,
Unfortunately these files are for Windows only at the moment, but we will release a patch soon that will change the download protocol that EAC uses to HTTP. That will fix the problem for OS X too.
I'm not saying this guy isn't legit but what I am saying is that if I were any of you looking for a fix on this problem I would not down load anything he links me to.
Wait for the devs to patch through Steam. I know it sucks but it's much better then getting a nasty keylogger or something on your system.
Also keep in mind it's easy to get friends to post on here saying "Yes this works" or "Thanks for the fix EAC Nago"
Lastly always be wary of anyone telling you to down load something and on top of that telling you how your firewall or antivirus software might be the cause of the issue. Sure that can happen from time to time but if you ask me installing a random file from someone who has been VAC banned and who tells me my Firewall is causing issues is crazy.
