Rust
Crash when attempting to join server
I have a friend who's having trouble loading in, it works fine for me but I've been trying to get him in the game for a while now.

It just crashes when the loading screen says "loading Procedural Map"

I checked his crash logs and at one point it mentioned a memory fault so I think it might have something to do with ram but here's the log just in case anyone else might need it.

We're actively trying to fix it as we speak but we're having trouble pinpointing the problem.
any help would be appreciated. :bighead:

He should have more then enough ram to run it but I have a feeling it might be installed wrong or be an os issue.

has anyone got an answer to this problem yet?
Author here, got a reply from support for all those interested:

Hello Astromac,

The problem is caused by 32bit Windows, it can only use 3 GB max of RAM, even with 16 GB installed.
You need to upgrade to 64bit Windows to use all of your RAM and fix the crash.

basically if you have this bug upgrade your os or you're gonna have to deal :ouch:

Edit: / if you already have a 64 bit OS then your issue isnt exactly the same as this one
