You Didn't Fix Solar Panels, You Broke Them. Put Them Back The Way They Were.
The position of the sun varies over a period of days in Rust to simulate "seasons". I don't know why, Rust clearly doesn't have any seasons that affect temperature, or weather, or the environment so why bother shifting the sun around? The problem here is if you put solar panels on your roof, they turn to ♥♥♥♥ in a few days when the sun shifts in the sky.

We're not talking a 40% loss in power like you would see with REAL solar panels. We're talking providing almost no power at all, and only for a couple hours a day.

Please just set it back the way it was. Point the panel toward the center of the map and forget about it. It's a pain in the ass now and is definitely NOT an improvement. You have made things WORSE.

I have 39 panels on the roof of my base and 1 wind turbine. Somehow that's not enough to charge 3 large and 3 medium batteries (anymore) -- that used to be plenty.

I shouldn't have to go out on my roof every 5 days, pick up all the panels, reorient them, repair them and rewire everything.

Please undo this disastrous change.

Hay here is an idea.... known by our hunter gatherer ancestors hundreds of millennia ago.

The big shiny thing in the sky comes up in one place and goes down in another
later we named those 2 places, East & West.
for some reason... it seems your copy of the game, the sun does not rise in the East.

go google "solar panel placement" if you are still confused.

Actually it doesn't. Solar panel placement has been altered by recent changes in the game, try to keep up. During the year the sun moves NORTH and SOUTH in the sky with the seasons. This is why in the real world solar panels produce variable power with the seasons, because the panels don't move but the sun tracks north and south with the seasons.

Go google "solstice" and "equinox" if you are still confused.

In rust, the sun also tracks north and south over a period of days. So if you orient your panels "correctly" on day 1 of wipe, by day 7 they no longer produce the same power levels.

Try knowing what you are talking about before you make your snarky comments that nobody asked for. This is a bug report, not a conversation.
Why don't you go do some research and go learn about
solstice's and the equinox and go look up parody whilst you are at it.

Why don't you actually post helpful remarks instead of inserting yourself into a bug report just to be a douche?
