Can't log into server - issue with downloading the map
Hey guys, I've tried to join my favorite server, but can't seem to download the map and I get this error message:

Disconnecter: Couldn't Download Level:
proceduralmap.nf2.3500.1175020393.232 (SSL CA certificate error)

I've played on the server tons of wipes before and everything was alright. Tried to reinstall the game and verify files but nothing helped. Even messeged server owner and he doesn't know what the problem is. I can join other servers from the server owner just not this specific one.

Any help?

Is the time and date on your PC correct?

What server are you trying to play on? It may have an expired SSL certificate which they need to fix.

it's Dracon | Solo | Beginner/Noob Friendly | FullWiped: 20.01

I know that other people were able to play on it just fine but me and 2 others were not. We eventualy found a solution with the owner sending us the map file and we were able to join just fine. But it still feels like something that shouldn't be happening in the future

That error is happening because they are using a custom map for their server but, for some reason, your PC does not trust the server which hosts their custom map. For errors like this it is generally either something on your PC (incorrect date/time, missing certificates) or the server itself which has an expired/invalid certificate. It may have been working for other people because Rust will cache the custom map file so that it doesn't need to redownload it every time you join the server - which is how you worked around this issue (you cached it manually).
