This is what worked for me: When loading server, don't cancel and try again to skip assets, let it all load.

Other Fix:
Delete your prefabs file and verify the game integrity on steam.

might try that, but how do you skip the assets?

Have you tried updating windows and cleaning your computer for viruses?

windows is up to date and i got no viruses

I've posted about this on Tom's Hardware Forum and here's a reply from a user that I got: "I've started having the same error code and as with you I couldn't find anything about the #00000018 code. I contacted facepunch support and they said that they are working with EAC to release a hotfix for the issue as apparently a lot of players are experiencing this issue. So it should automatically fix itself in the coming days. I'll keep you updated if I get any other info from my support ticket if you want"

I have the same problem. I was playing on a server yesterday and when I switched the server the problem started occurring.

Same problem here in 2024, but none of the 300 solutions offered work. Sad. Had a 2 hour discord session with a mod or something. Came down to an ISP problem, called them, they changed my IP, nothing worked. Stuck with the issue. Brand new PC and everything worked well on my last PC
