So I had this same issue but I rescently fixed this issue by exiting out of rust completely, but keeping steam open. Once steam is open, click the “view”, then “servers”. When you have the servers up join whatever rust game server you want to join and be patient. Lmk if it works or not

Just spend 45 minutes in que to play. Crash on startup. Refunded. Wont be buying this ♥♥♥♥ again for sure. Lol at devs.

I FOUND FIX FOR THIS: Fix: You need to reinstall EAC by going to your Rust directory (steam/steamapps/common/rust/easyanticheat),
starting EAC setup as admin, uninstall, reinstall, then restart your PC.
This worked for me so hopefully it works for you to, good luck!

I had this issue too it would say "rust not responding" and close. I fixed it by installing on my SSD instead of my hard drive.

But now I have a problem where I rubberband for no reason with low ping, high fps and nobody has had a solution to that yet for me

I had the same problem

FIXED it by lowering Performance in my Asus Bios Settings from ASUS Optimal to Normal !!!!!
I tried everything else before

Now it works perfect with high graphic settings
