Disabling F7 Doesn't Work

Why do I want to disable F7? Because I use it as a rebinded key on my mouse for ALL voice chat systems, whether it be Mumble, TeamSpeak, or so on. I've NEVER had an issue with another game.

Doing "bind f7 clear" doesn't do anything.

I'm not channging my bind that I've made for ALL other games just because the developers decided to commandeer a key for their own use. I'll sooner have the game returned.

I also need help with this. F7 seems hard coded into the game. I have tried changing it using the GUI, console, and editing keys.cfg. I have rebound "bugreporter" to another key and the rebound key also does not work. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

This is why full keybinds should be available in all games. I use F7 for programs like Mumble and TeamSpeak, and I use F8 for in-game voice. Having a Corsair Scimitar Pro, I can then bind the F7 and F8 keys to the 7 and 8 keys on the side of my mouse respectively.

F7 is the key to open their forms. Where you can report players or bugs and give ideas to the devs. It even says in the hints during loading. So my guess is that it is hard coded into the game and you cant remove it. No fix for it just have to deal with the slight change

the fact they have a bound key to report players give them new ideas and report bugs is a sign of the developers wanting the players to do that stuff and help them make rust a better game. They are not negligent they are trying to make their game better by removing 1 button from the keyboard to improve their entirty of their game.

For one game its not a big ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ deal at all. And for you saying that the developers are negligent for making the community better and actually listening to their players shows how dumb you are. Their are very few game devs that try as hard they do to listen to the community and try to ban players that their anti cheat cant detect. I don't understand how you can say that the devs arer negligent for making their game better. You make no sense in your argument here. Just bind it to another key and deal with it. Not very hard.

It is hard to even understand how you can use f7 as a voice chat bind. It is so far away from your other keys. You must be really bad at a lot of games if u have to reach to f7 to talk to your friends. And the developers a one of the best out their in terms of their community. For you not to play the game becuase you cant use 1 bind makes no sense. You can rebind it in a few clicks everytime. The fact that it can't be rebound is a direct reflection of the negligence of the developer.

They are negligent for not allowing players to rebind the key to a more favorable location. I'm not going to change the one ♥♥♥♥ing bind I use for voice for ALL of my games for their ONE ♥♥♥♥ing game. That's absurd, and if you think otherwise then you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

It is a big ♥♥♥♥ing deal, this is PC and PC is centered around being able to customize your play. That's a standard practice on this platform, and not being able to rebind a key, even through a .ini file is ♥♥♥♥ing moronic and backwards as hell. I'm not going to UNDO ALL MY BINDS FOR ALL MY OTHER GAMES BECAUSE SOME AUTISTIC DEVELOPER INSISTS ON USING F7. I'll instead go play another ♥♥♥♥ing game that doesn't blow me up with popups any time I go to queue my mic and speak to my friends, because no other game I play out of the hundreds I own FORCE you to USE a specific key.
