ngl, but yeah i really don't see it happening. FP is pretty stubborn
after the streamer craze RUST got alot more popular
and tons of them hated how hard recoil was
FP is a company after all so i do see the reason behind it
but it was def a huge slap in the face to the people who
kept the game alive over the years.
it is what it is. kinda 50/50 on how i feel about it
though i still enjoy the game from time to time.
but i don't think it would be good to force it on everyone because theres a even larger mob of people not wanting to spend several hours in aimtrain just to perfect a spray.
I agree that at this point they shouldn't force it on people, but at the same time they never should of changed it in the first place. Spray control was the biggest skill gap in the game, and removing it would of been like Rainbow Six Siege removing all maps bar one from ranked because people didnt want to put the time into learning the map.
Rust is a competitive game, it may not have esports but who the ♥♥♥♥ cares about esports. Making things easy because people don't want to put the time into getting better at a game is the dumbest thing ever.
so you are talking about what i was saying. you're just all about gatekeeping.
you're more concerned about others getting ''better'' when you had to spend a long time training for what is now a feature in the game. yeah i get your frustration but i think you're looking at it from wrong perspective. stop treating it like it was just another shooter, your general game sense (the overall experience) will play a far bigger part than merely your aim.
strategies, reflexes, knowledge, situational awareness.. all of them can overcome some aimcone rng. you're a rust survivor you can do this, stop relying on your aim.
its not csgo, or rainbow six, those games are shooters only.
this is Rust, its not only a shooter. you may lose a fight or 2 but you will always win the war if you know what to do.
The problem is that the recoil was such a fundamental part of the game, and they basically removed it, and now any straight 1 on 1 gunfight is largely rng. Sure I can win a fight using the game sense I've gained through thousands of hours of play, but that's not going to be the case in every fight. It is so incredibly frustrating opening up on someone standing in the open and only 2 of your shots hitting even though your aim is directly on them.
I 100% agree that being able to beam someone from 250 meters was stupid, especially with an smg, and I would of been completely behind a change that made it much harder to do that. Hell, even a change the alters the recoil patterns a bit to make them easier to learn but still hard to master I would of been fine with.
I was never even great with my aim, for a majority of my hours I was horrible with guns like mp5 and ak, yet I still loved the recoil and how satisfying it was to learn it and finally be good with those guns. Now you just have to rely on rng and pray to god that your opponent isn't luckier than you
Facepunch wanted more money
they adapt to the change thats what surviving is all about.
Rust is not a survival game, it's about rushing oil for a full kit and terrorising everyone t1 until the server dies which is like 2 days
Dayz is a survival game, and it's horridly boring
You probably run a PVE server like most people who support new recoil while making absolute claims about what Rust should be
Rust is literally gambling to become more simulator
Chads are not even good most of the time, they just lack the braincells to have gear fear or anything like this, the antithesis of RPers and not something I was into as a beamer despite ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on em (by this I mean that I enjoy taking rust slowly and pretending that it's a survival game, but these people remind me that I am just a RPer with 3k hours on aimtrain and that a full kit 1 hour in the wipe is hard to compete against and sitting under a bear rug is goofy af).
I type as I think and I have to do it fast because it aint worth it
Same for the opinion of people who never bothered to learn the sprays in a spray based game
