Can you shoot through wood walls?

So, me and a friend got raided yesterday. Once the raiders got into the house, they shot through the walls and killed us. This happened 3 times, on of the times they were not inside the house, they sniped us down with a bolt action rifle while we took cover at our unfinished top floor.

I confronted the raiders and asked, "shooting through walls?! Really what's going on?"

They simply responded; you need a metal house bro, you can shoot through the gaps in the wooden walls if you use a laser sight"

Of course you can never be too sure from people who just raided you and destroyed 20% of your house, so what do you guys say?

Did we encounter hackers or simply glitchers? or is it a new update to make the game harder?

Pretty sure its like hackers or glitchers, I got a p250 fully customized and I can't shoot through my walls.

Yeah I figured... :'( too bad I did not get a video of it... Let's just hope VAC handles them somewhere next year or so

This was supposedly fixed in one of the recent updates. I'd assume it's either an exploit, or a hacker. Either way, both are bannable imo.

I just had this happen, he had perfect aim with a shotgun. Message said "Killed you with a shot to the left..." no name was listed at all. I respawned in my camp (figuring I was safe), died the exact same way in seconds. I respawned nearby (I have another spawn site there) and watched this guy jump 2 stories straight up, then land inside my house (it wasn't finished yet, so no roof yet. Took everything I had spent a week gathering. Oh, and it was night too.

See my post upper. Dud w\o name going through walls, flying etc. But you can very easily know his profile - only press shift-tab and press "players" button - you see him in list.

They were hacking. I had a hacker do that to me too. Shot me right through a wood wall. He was also using speed hack, ESP hack, fly hack, aim bot. He got banned though not because Steam VAC was doing its job or the devs fixed coding issues allowing the hackers to do this, but because an admin witnessed it. Steam VAC is a joke and devs dont do ♥♥♥♥.
