*URGENT* Recoil Scripts

A youtuber known as FROST has clearly been using a recoil script. I would like you to view this video @ 6:29.... And look at the recoil of his semi auto. I know for 100%, that if you're to log into game right now.. on a BATTLE server or what not... You could never in your life shoot as fast as he is... and with the same recoil.

Either A.) Just make the gun more accurate overall so a script is not needed... everyone can play on fair grounds

OR

B.) please implement something into EAC to stop it.

EDIT** I have like 3 guys who were kicked from my clan due to recoil cheats. There is still people using them.... 100%. Update didnt do♥♥♥♥♥♥.. And the recoil of the guns is still balls.

Can i not get a gun other than a bolty that actually shoots straight? You're giving us nerf guns to fight off cheaters. Not impressed at all. Rust has slowly become one of my least favorite fps.


Edit* Nothing has changed. Aug. 22/17. Haven't played in months because of it. Servers are always laggy because of the size of bases.

Will most likely never play again.

my friend. i have 4000 hours on cs go.. currently ranked supreme... You cant even compare CS GO and RUST. The recoil on rust is far, far, far worse.

And you have 4.1 hours on cs go. I really dont think you know much about the recoil/shooting in cs go... to even try to remotely compare it to rust. the games mechanics/ recoil system is worlds different.

The fact about this game, among many, is that there will always be an exploit and there will be many people who will exploit it.

Don't even try and fool yourself by saying, oh maybe most people are just honest people who won't resort to cheating for an upper hand. It's total BS. The opposite is true. Most people will abuse it and the minority are honest.

A little bit ago, there was an exploit that allowed people to basically use console or something to spawn in unlimited C4. I had literally hopped on after months of not playing just to see the progress and after finding vanilla exceedingly boring / grindy went on to a 3X gather solo/duo/trio server. Was only there for 2 days, finally got myself a bolty, and literally just as I crafted a bolty most servers were forced to shut down because of how many people abused the exploit.

So to summerize, on a 3X gather server, that I was soloing for 2 days, had a ton of sulfur, even crafted rockets and C4 BY MYSELF, people were spawning in unlimited C4.

There are no bounds to the extent people will go in this game to cheat and have an upper hand.

I told myself, who would spawn in C4 on a 3X gather server? Only 5 minutes later to hear everything around me exploding. The server owner said in chat how many people were carrying full inventories of C4. It was so insane, they decided to force wipe like 2 days into a fresh cycle.

Wow... Never even heard of that exploit. Pretty unfair haha.. recently you could raid bases with the "guess door access"... But they fixed it after the devs saw everyone abusing it.

I get what you're saying but here is my thoughts... In CS go.. (counter strike global offensive).. you have tons of cheaters... Most use walls/ recoil scripts... And the odd few will actually full blatant spin bot.. in cs go.. with all it's cheaters.. I still play at supreme level... One of the highest... And can compete with the cheaters because the guns are more accurate. Playing vs a cheater/scripter in rust (everyone is using it).... Is near impossible. They have such N advantage because the guns recoils are so trash. They need to make the guns more accurate to give us all an even playing field.

Considering you had to resort to looking at my profile to fill your insecurities fine, i'll let you have this one, perhaps frost is using scripts. When you want to have an actual debate show some real evidence instead of youtube videos in which most people agree are legitimate then come nocking, frost has went to genuine effort to show you how he does it to prove he's not cheating and your just going to throw it back in his face.

Well yeah, in game exploits are a little bit different from installing files like scripts. But they are still both exploits nonetheless.

It's not a huge leap of faith to assume that if somebody is willing to abuse such game breaking in game mechanics that they wouldn't go out of their way to download undetectable exploits like recoil scripts.

Look at how long rock bases existed amongst many other game breaking exploits. It was an in game exploit that was specifically frowned upon, even developers had gone onto official servers to delete people's rock bases which they barely ever do. It was stated that people were not supposed to be doing it and they were punished. I don't think any got banned for it, but it was prohibited.

Personally, I think it's a tad pathetic for people to spawn in C4 especially on a 3x gather server but enough people did it that it broke a popular, high population server within 2 days.

You really think there isn't a significant amount of people using recoil scripts?

Why do you think Facepunch would go and nerf recoil if it wasn't such an issue?

Just look at the Rust Twitter hack report. There's like 75,000 people outright caught for using actual cheat software.

Your right there though, hacking is not really a stretch. If an exploit is in the game then it is the fault of the developers not the player who uses it usually, but in the case of online games it breaks it for legit players so I can see how thats relevent.

I looked at your profile to check and see if you had any general understanding of CS GO's recoil... to compare it with rust.... And you had zero experience... Comparing rust to cs go was laughable. And funny enough, in this most recent update... they made the recoil system better. It was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wack. Happy they finally adressed it.

As well, it's not so much just about coming here to vent.

I'm fully aware that every game has people willing to cheat. Cheating even exists in single player games, which is fine because it effects nobody else's experience.

I've seen people cheat in co-op games, such as Payday 2, against computer controlled bots.

It's more so about bringing it to people's attention so that proper counter measures can be put into place. I agree with things like the current recoil nerf, if there is no better solution, something had to be done to level the playing field. I don't care if people say that you can learn to control recoil, even if it is true. The fact is that there are others using outside methods to gain an upper hand, which makes the event of recoil only negatively effect the honest players.

These scripts have existed for a long time. It's only lately that more people are aware of them which is good and bad. Bad because more people will be inclined to use them, but good because people are aware and hopefully the developers who can provide counter measures.

Man of course. And oddly enough.. this patch.. they changed/updated the recoil system. I am very happy about it.

This isn't about experience, this is about being able to use your eye's. Watch the video, it is definitive proof that he isn't using scripts, it has nothing to do with how many hours you have on the game it's common sense. Now if your done throwing ♥♥♥♥ at me I'd like to move on to a debate that's with someone polite.
