Some laptops have strange keyboard setups, so it's possible some of your keys (the function keys in this case) incompatible with this game.

Any idea how to fix this problem?

You must go to the settings to launch the console by right clicking on the game

I'm sure this occurred to you, but I'm not as computer savvy as most people, so it was news to me when I had this issue and my husband told me my "F Lock" key might be on. I pressed it, then was able to hit F1 and pull up the console again.

Yeah, it could be something as simple as that (having the F-Lock key on or off was preventing it from working). I use a desktop-computer and my keyboard doesn't have a F-lock key (which I think it more common to see on laptops).

Rather savy here. No F-Lock key. I just need a way to bring up the console taht dousent involve that F1 key then. Because apparently The software dousent like my hardware

Some laptops may have a background running program installed running that controls the keyboard functions, special keys and such (which could be the problem you're having), so if there's such a program installed in which you can configure or temporarily close?

Or, if you had another USB keyboard handy, you might be able to plug that into your laptop and use that to play the game with instead? Good luck.
Noottt entirely sure about that brand, but Lonewolfs post relates to a part of my solution, mines had the same issue as yours, but most manufacturers allow you to go into the BIOS and "switch" the keybindings for the F1-12. I switched mines around, and everything works dandy. So if you can go into your BIOS and find a setting that relates to that setting, then change such, Its different wording per computer, so I dunno if it'd be the same as mines.
