How to reload a shotgun?

I have Homemade shells and a shotgun. How do I apply the shells to the shotgun?

Homemade shells are only for the pipe shotgun.

For a regular shotgun you need shotgun shells.

I found this out at a very bad time, lol. xD

Press R to relaod it (One Per Shot) make sure the Shells are on the Hotbar. But if it's a (Normal Shotgun) in the future, you will need to find the Blue Prints for the Shotgun (Shells) the hard part is finding a damn "Research Kit" off the zombies to research the Shells for it, (Teaches you how to make them) so save one (Normal Shotgun Shell) but it reloads same way R.

The "Research Kit", work on all ammo types, so hold on to them as if they where gold, stash them away just in case you die lol. My self i had 3 Shotgun Shells left on me, no "Research Kit" yet so i had to make a Bow and do it the hard way till i finally got it.
