Small Stash decay

Hello,

Just wondering if the my small stash's will decay and disappear after a certain amount of time.

I heard if they were in your base where you actively are they will not decay/disappear.

I have places 3 small stashes just outside my house in a couple bushes and behind a rock. They didn't last 48 hours real-life time. Now, either somebody found all 3 (doubtful) or they just disappeared. I'm assuming the latter.

Shame you cant repair them when they take decay damage.

Interesting.. I have about 3 in my old base and they are still there. I'm hoping that the ones in my base stay there as they have all my best loot. I'll post back here if I see one decay/disappear.

I am pretty sure if you have something in it, it will not disappear, if its empty it will decay and disappear

They actually do disapear! Started playing on a server 18.1.2014 Had about 6 small stashes, all of them containing various materials etc. I had placed them on a mountain ridge( Building a house seems utterly pointless at this point) Today I logged and only 3 remains.
Seems that they do have a rather short despawn time even with items placed in.

It's weird though. I've put out 14 small stash. All except the first one has dissapeared. Both with and without stash in them. The first I put out however, is still standing after more than 8 days without visiting it.

From what ive heard from server Admins they decay when they are not on Foundations

That explains a lot, I have 5 stashes in my house (on foundations) and they havent disappeared.

Definitely not the case when they're not on a foundation :( We decided to put all our new stuff into stashes after being raided, and i took care to regularly use them. but now, about 1.5 days later, everything is gone, EVEN WITH REGULARLY USING THEM the whole time. a whole weekend of farming down the drain :(

I just lost 2 M249s, 19 rockets, 2 launchers, 15K gunpowder and 2 AKs thanks to a bunch of shashes decaying. I had them under a foundation, broke the foundation to access loot and the stashes themselves were gone. That was enough to make me ragequit this wipe

I just lost 2 AK's with ammo and 2 satchel's. Also 4k scrap and 2 stacks of sulfur :(

Just an update on this, stashes now break when you place a building over them

I just tested them, they do not break when you place a foundation over them but they do still despawn randomly. Lost 14 c4, great game helk.
