Desync and ghosting
Is there any solution to solve the ghosting problem ? I can't play since I cant interact with any item and my body gets left behind just to get randomly killed .
So far I've done everything I could to solve this issue, added ports , reinstalled steam and the game,etc.
Any help please?

even with auto oc off, i still get desycs in about 30% of gamestarts.
if i have desyncs, rebooting the entire machine and starting the game again gets rid of the desyncs. dont know why tho. at least i can play.

For me fix is just dc and reconnect but after 10-15 min I'll desync again...etc

one more thing.
some boards may have oc enabled by default, so u have to manually disable it.
in my case it was called Intel TurboMode

Hi. Is there any attempt to fix this desync/ghostin bug? I would like to play Rust, but its unplayable as long I have to re-join the server every 5 minutes.

This is confirmed fix for XP users

Log on to the computer by using an account that has administrative credentials.
Click Start, click Run, type notepad c:\boot.ini, and then click OK.

In the Boot.ini file, a line that starts with "default" is located in the "[boot loader]" section.
This line specifies the location of the default operating system. The line may appear as follows:

default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS
In the "[operating systems]" section, locate the line for the operating system that corresponds to the "default" line. For example, if the computer is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Enterprise x64 Edition, the line should resemble the following:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x64 Edition" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn

At the end of the line, add a space, and then type /usepmtimer. The line should now resemble the following.

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x64 Edition" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn /usepmtimer
Save the file, and then exit Notepad.
Restart the computer.

The following is a sample Boot.ini file for a system that contains the /usepmtimer switch.
[boot loader]
timeout=0
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x64 Edition" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn /usepmtimer
Note The Boot.ini file is located in the root folder of the system drive.

Note: Using the /UsePmTimer setting may introduce a decrease in performance.

If you can't save boot.ini it is because it is read-only,you need to deselect read-only then save.

Running a program as administrator gives it permission to do things it normally can't do.
Starting CMD as administrator is completely safe.

As in the command (bcdedit /set {default} useplatformclock true)
