Microphone Not Working
Re-binded my voice chat key to Middle Mouse button. Voice chat isn't working for me.
I've set my microphone as the default recording device and it registers on almost every other game. Did the same to set Steam's voice chat to my microphone as well.

Could anyone help?

Same problem here, I think it detected my virtual audio cable first, so I disabled everything except my g930 microphone, and made it the default, works on steam, and that unity page that detects mics, but I never see any mic working indicator in RUST.

I also rebound to middle mouse button, but it DOES work for me. There IS no mic working indicator but I've definately talked to other people and had them respond to what I said. The voicechat volumes DO seem to be super quiet though and I could barely hear most people (and they said the same of my chat volume).

Unfortunately there are no options to adjust this in-game... perhaps there is a command I can use in the console?

They should allow it so that you can set the playback and capture device.

Steam-Settings-Talk-Change the input to "Realtek High Definition"- Register unit.

Your welcome

Thank you, I thought there WAS an indicator, so when at first it didn't work, everything I tried would have been useless since I didn't see a change. So disabling all my other mics worked. Thanks!

Tried this, didnt help for me.

I resolved the issue. Go to your DEFAULT browser (for me this was Google Chrome) and change the the setting to allow microphone (you can set the input device through here). For a Google Chrome tutorial, follow this:

Did you go to your DEFAULT browser and set up the default input/output devices through there?

I am glad this is being brought up, as I am having the same issue, except I have left the mic button bound to the default V. Has anyone found a working solution for this yet?
