Couldn't Load Asset Bundle??

Wow, the update has been loaded and now when I start the game, it comes up with Couldn't load asset bundle..Something is missing. I have verified my cache, but it doesn't help.
Anybody else having this problem? and if so, did you find a solution to the problem??

i still do not have a fix for this are they doing anything to try fix this or is it something i need to do to fix this im getting so mad :(

No solution until now, I still can not play.
Looks like an error in file /home/<user>/.steam/steam/SteamApps/common/rust/rust_Data/sharedassets0.assets.
With this file, I get the error and without (I renamed it) rust don't load.

Started rust with strace and found the following:

open("Bundles/Bundles", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
write(6, "Error while reading AssetBundle "..., 66) = 66
write(6, "Couldn't load root AssetBundle -"..., 172) = 172
write(6, "ThrowError: Couldn't load root A"..., 184) = 184

But there is no directory "Bundles" on my LINUX rust installation, only a directory "bundles".
So I created a link to the right name and now it works, but with bad grafiks.

It doesn't matter what I try, the end result is "I can't play"..Now the miserable waiting game begins for Facepunch to release a fix..If they can do that right the first time round!

Anyone who's still having this problem, I tried everything above and none helped me and I really couldn't be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ downloading it all over again. So, I deleted the "RustClient" and "Rust" applications from the Steamapps/Rust folder and validated. Works a charm.

After update seems that facepunch have still not attended to this issue very frustrating for me as I run 3 rust servers and can only use my testing server as it has no EAC.

Still getting this myself so i cant play to "playtest" ....maybe resolve that first before adding more crap? Silly idea i know....

Deleting the game and reinstalling "fixed" it for me.

To fix the error under linux do the following:

- Search directory "bundles" in ~/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/rust
- Create a link named "Bundles" to directory "bundles"

This have fixed the error in my installation.

Eurg I am having this problem and I just can't fix it :/
I re-installed the game TWICE and still, every time I try to run it it blocks ...
Sometimes when I run it from the files as Admin and veryfiy the cache before it magicaly works but still then I can't acces the servers --' PLEASE help
