This game makes me feel legit bad

So I am sitting there playing, a friend who got me this game is like "come on let's play" so I did. I had some fun building a house and hitting things for a while but then we ran into another player and I murdered him good. While he was on the ground he was in this like, 'plz no kill" state, begging for his life and over voice he was like "Nooo please no murder" and I wanted to help but I guess his death timer went out? He died and then was like "Bluuuh" over voice as he despawns.

That sounds silly but I feel legit bad about this! I felt bad when I murdered some bears and stuff but murdering another person, how can people enjoy this?

Well if people can enjoy this I guess that's fine but like, I am just a big baby who can't take killing things. I never much liked pvp and this game makes you hear people begging for their lives, it shakes me so.

If only I wasn't such wissy sissy. Am I the only one who feels bad for killing peeps in this game?

what al said is completely right. I started the game the same way. I would only kill in self defense, but one too many times of hleping someone up and them try to kill you again is enough to make you feel nothing. Its dog eat dog. The way it would be if this was a real survival scenario. Minus the eating people part. I doubt i could do that.

Rust is a game about who can get the most resources the fastest. Whoever wins that game becomes dominate on the server. You're gonna have to kill people to 'win'

Does this game really have a winning condition? Like, you cannot be online at your base 24/7 sometime you will be away and someone with enough bombs will get into your base.

Or it gets old and you don't want to play a game that is pretty much a murder simulator. Its just the rationalization many players use to turn into KOS'ing jerk offs.
The rest of us just shake our head and uninstall it, rather than turn into that.

Hatred is a murder simulator designed to please sadists, however this game Rust does a better job because of the voice. You can hear people cry out for help and beg for their lives as you kill them. In Hatred it's the same quips over and over but in Rust people will continously beg in various ways. Because this game isn't a game where you simply all spawn, pick weapons, and fight but instead take time to gather things and forge your path people are more invested in their characters which means they are legit conserned when someone threatens them.

The only problem is sadists cannot truly be pleased by digital people even with real voices in real time, sadists only desire to hurt real people so both Hatred and Rust fail on those parts. Still though for people like me digital sadism shakes us up real good.
